Released on 25th July 2026, my sixth book is a collection of unusual short stories.
Sometimes, a story is born out of the pure imagination of the writer. More often than not, they stem from an incident that a writer may have observed; or a news item that they came across somewhere; or a true incident that someone shared with the writer.
The stories included in this anthology fall into these broad categories. Highlighting life’s subtle intricacies, these stories provide genuine and heartfelt perspective on everyday occurrences around us. Included in this collection is the story “Saloon” that was awarded second place prize in a 2024 Tamil literary competition. “Saloon” is the story of Siva, an uneducated, ordinary man with extraordinary wisdom and perspective on life.
